Hi all from your long lost mate from the Hunter

My entry was posted today for PI. My MG Midget and I are returning for another run to see if I can break the 2 minute barrier.

Bev and I are staying at the Bansfeild Motel in Cowes.

Should be a few entries at PI with a couple of newbies likely to make a start Very Happy

Ross Kaigg could be the first one to seal a title at PI too...

I've just got in from a test day and boy have I got some work to do. Blew a half shaft... big time Sad Now I just need to dismantle the back end, do some fairly major machining on the axle housing, get some half shafts put it all together in a week... and my engineering mates are flying out tomorrow for PI and the MotoGP. Hmmm, this is going to be very close.

I'm hoping I can still get something together to get me through two meetings, even though it won't be the final solution.

Bloody hell Steve! If there's a silver lining at least it didn't happen whilst you were AT the Island.

So everyone is home and well under way preparing for Sandown. Robin Bailey made a strong return (welcome back Robin) and Andrew Howell finally seems to be getting on top of the ZR. Welcome to the class to his son Rhys as well! Glenn Campbell made his debut in the series in the B GT, what happened to him??? Shame for Steve Jones from NSW who had engine drama's in Qualifying after the long trip down and Richard Vollebregt who also had engine drama's on the weekend. A few people with repairs to do before Sandown, anyone have any stories to share from the weekend? And anyone got any in car footage they can throw my way? Very Happy

The list of work that needs doing (and if you do it, it has to be done right or the results are more expensive) seems to be expanding so by the time I finish, and do some testing days, I'd say PI and Sandown next year might be the first events up.

I hope they line up again.

Oh dear, famous last words. Thanks to everyone for their offers of help and mateship at PI and Sandown. I'll be working lots of OT to pay for a very expensive rebuild but I will be back at PI next year if everything goes to plan... where's Murphy gone?
