MoPro MG F's

Post  Pauly on 8/1/2012, 12:46 pm

What happened to the 25-30 F's that Paul Pickett had for his MoPro series? They would be ideal starter cars for people wanting to go MG Racing as they would probably only be worth $12-$15k and although not really quick as they were pretty much road Trophy 160 specs they would be quick enough to be competitive in the last quarter of the grid. There are a couple over in SA it appears, the Read's in Vic have one, Ken Price has one, Jamie Cartwright still has his, there are a couple for sale atm, where are the other 20? I know there are some for sale currently but I am thinking all the ones that must of been bought at the MoPro auction and disappeared...?

Ive been asking the same question Paul. In South Australian Rod O'Malley purchased three of them and built them to S.A MGF Trophy spec. One was sold to Tyson Jeans who occasionally races in the series and the other one was driven by Rod's brother Steve. AA Automotive also has one which occasionally gets used. Im also interested in the whereabouts of the others. There have been some rumors that some of them where turned back into road cars. But my guess is that alot are just undercovers in people's garages scratch

Ive been trying to look for Mopro 16" wheels and trophy 160 calipers, if anyone has got them please send me a message.

Surely that's cheating as they are 160 HP compared to the 143 HP of a standard MGF.

Alan Evans, the new owner of Dyno Dynamics has a yellow one, and I've been doing some suspension work on it recently. He hopes to get it out for a run soon.
