Round 2 - 2014 - Sandown

Bev and I are staying at the Best Western Sandown Inn and looking foward to dinner at the Hobson Stores one night (hint hint).

Last time we came down and told everyone where we were staying they all went ohhh, that will be interesting. Hopefully this will be better.

We're looking foward to the club night on the Tuesday before. I can see people out of their onesies (driving suits) and dressed normally. I hope it's a bit more dynamic than this forum.

We have only just unloaded from round 1 Steve, attrition on the weekend hurt us a bit. 4 or 5 competitors lost engines and only 11 cars finished our last race! But hopefully a strong field will be at Sandown, you can count on at least 2x ZR's (Chris Gidney & Rod Barrett).

I was keeping abreast of developments as best I could on Natsoft. I did notice the dwindling numbers  . I hope my season is different to the last few or I'll be spending a lot of time and no money in the naughty corner.

Racing, it will give you every emotion possibly, usually all in a weekend!

The young Mr Bailey, the young Mr Herlihy/ MGB, and me in the Midget.

There should be Campbell, Anderson and co who are at Mallala this weekend if nothing goes amiss (touch wood) in the field. Andrew Howell will be there in his ZR too.

Sounds like there could be a fun grid... now can someone sort out the Melbourne weather.

The weather will be windy, calm, wet, dry, damp, sunny and overcast.

That sound just like home (Newcastle) at the moment.

Thank god it's not going to snow... or is that just Saturdays forecast.

It has hailed on the back straight once during driver training and been completely sunny on the front straight!

Hey guys, I have a couple of mates doing the drive down from Newy to check out the Sandown weekend and I'm going to be 1 short in the pass department. Can anyone help me out with a spare?

Bev and I were at your club night last night. It was nice to see Kim & Ken there representing the Racing Register. We looked hard but didn't manage to establish visual contact with any others. You all must have been hiding from the out of towners.

I'll be at the track on Friday. Please don't hide from us there. I'll see you all on the track Saturday & Sunday because you'll all be I front of me.  thanks for putting on nice weather.

Well Jonesy got through the weekend okay, in fact everyone seemed to fair better than PI which was good!

Congrats to those who did new PB's, I think Gidney, Barrett, Howell all significantly beat their own official PB's?

Championship is open up front with Barrett jumping Gidney - JUST! and Glen Wood doing well to recover after Round 1.

We will continue to do the drivers meetings at each round as everyone seemed to think it went well and was a good idea
