LE500 race car
Hi this advert is for my MG LE500 race car located in Wales U.K.
Built to MG Trophy regs by Dreadnought racing in 2012 to compete in the MG Trophy race championship using a genuine LE500 shell and original mgf cup car running gear adapted to meet the new regs.
Body
Two door LE500 steel shell, seam-welded and strengthened for improved rigidity, seam welded sub-frames front and rear. It has also been fitted with an integral roll cage and racing hard top.
Engine
All alloy, four cylinder normally aspirated 190 bhp VHPD twin overhead cam K series. A sealed unit, which was developed especially for racing, with steel con-rods , crankshaft and forged pistons.
Transmission
Close-ratio five speed sealed unit with straight cut gears, Quaiffe limited-slip differential and Helix Racing clutch plate and AP cover.
Suspension
Front & Rear: AVO racing coilovers with bilstein springs, adjustable double wishbones. front and adjustable rear anti-roll bars.
Brakes
AP four pot calipers front with AP racing discs and four pot racing calipers rear , with AP driver-adjustable bias. electronic servo with AP racing master cylinder. Control brake pads are supplied by Mintex racing.
Tyres
Dunlop race.
Dry weather slick tyre......210/605R16 AD46
Wet weather cut tyre.....210/605R16 AD46
Exhaust
janspeed mgf cup car race system with new 2013 Brown and Gammons race cat.
Race battery. Race hubs and drive shafts. 2012 year race seat, belts, fire extinguisher and steering wheel. Alloy radiator and oil cooler.
The car has only had limited races and a small amount of testing prior to race day but finished every time.
