round 6 Phillip Island
I have my entry filled in ready to send.
I have holidays.
My sponsor ('my daughters wedding fund') though depleted after a wedding and an engine rebuild is onboard again.
I have my accommodation booked for the trip down and at Cowes (the Seahourse Motel).
The baby goes on the dyno for running in and tuning in a week.
I have a 3.7 diff to try out (I don't know whats wrong with a 4.2 at PI)
Now I wait. I'm looking forward to catching up and the BBQ ribs at the RSL.
Anyone else staying at the Seahourse?

Re: round 6 Phillip Island
Hi all,
I've had my little lady on the dyno today doing a run in. Things were looking good, a pile of cycles up the rev range, and oil change and a a minute into the next run and "cough, splut' down to 2 cylinders .
Head off and a few bent push rods later we found that number 3 and 4 cylinders are interconnected. A sleeve on 4 had dropped by 1/2" and a section on no 3 sleeve in now missing in action (See attached photo if it's there) .
The funds bucket is now totally dry (and has a very large hole in it). With luck I might make PI 2013. The baby goes into the garage where she will sit for several months till I can weld up the holes in the bucket and start filling it again. Should only take another 12 months or so.
I'll just have to live on dreams. If you come up to Wakie Park next year I might drag the B out again so I can watch your tail lights again.
Steve

Bugger Steve.
Looks like a big grid of over 30 cars.

So sorry Steve. The engine attrition this year is getting ridiculous! Seem to be looking at 2013 also. If then!

I see on motorevententry that the Sandown meeting has Rodney Gibb & Phil Chester entered in F's with David Mottram entered in 2A Sports Cars Open class in his B not the MG class.

Well PI is over, tough round and another twist in the year, Jason Holmes came to an unfortunate end. Probably something that could of been avoided by people being more careful on the opening laps. Andrew Howell having reliability problems again, Welcome to Phil Chester in the ex Jason Holmes MG TF Cup as well another welcome addition to the grid. The return of Mort Fitzgerald who led the way home. Cody Hill from SA had the F absolutely flying... like no other F, pretty sure it's the fastest F around PI!?
